PGB unveils Bataan Tourism Pavilion

Bataan has a new venue for significant events, meetings, and cultural activities after officials led by Governor Joet Garcia presided over the ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by the blessing of the Bataan Tourism Pavilion last September 13, marking a key milestone in the province’s efforts to enhance its tourism infrastructure.

Governor Garcia emphasized that the primary goal of the new pavilion is to further boost tourism in Bataan wherein it will host Meetings, Incentives, Conferences/Conventions, and Exhibits (MICE), expecting to attract visitors and guests from outside the province.

The Pavilion has two major halls, designed to accommodate a wide range of events. The Kagitingan Hall, located on the ground floor, can host up to 300 guests and can be divided into three separate sections, allowing multiple events to occur simultaneously. On the second floor, the Kalayaan Ballroom offers a similar capacity and design, providing additional space for large gatherings.

In addition to these halls, the pavilion includes various amenities such as rest areas for special guests, a secretariat room, and other essential facilities to ensure that both casual and formal events are supported.

The ceremony coincided with the birthday of former Congressman and Governor Tet Garcia, during which Governor Joet Garcia noted that the new facility is part of his father’s vision for the province, complementing the already established Tourism Park and Tourism Center located within the same compound along the Roman Superhighway in Balanga City.

Also present in the event was 3rd District Representative Gila Garcia who remarked that the Pavilion is aligned with her office’s ongoing efforts to strengthen tourism in her district. Meanwhile, 2nd District Representative Abet Garcia also expressed his continued support for infrastructure projects that contribute to the province’s growth and development.

Other guests who graced the ceremony included OIC Provincial Tourism Officer Danica Lolita Tigas-Rodriguez, Bataan Peninsula Tourism Council Foundation, Inc. Chairperson Isabel Garcia and Adviser Vicky Garcia, who all played significant roles in the realization of the project.
